Fire Ant Eradication – Community Self-Treatment

FAST is delivering free fire ant community self-treatment to select Gold Coast suburbs to encourage residents to proactively treat their properties. The Gold Coast is being targeted due to the high fire ant infestations in our area. Even if fire ants are not visible, it is likely they are underground or on a nearby property.

Access to the program is available to all eligible residents. If interested, come into the office on Ferry Road to claim your free treatment kit. You will also be added to the Community Self-Treatment (CST) mailing list to receive free fire ant treatment kits in the mail twice over a six-month period.

The free kit includes treatment product (Distance Plus) which is an insect growth regulator (IGR), and an instructional brochure on how to use the product.
